Leadership – a Mindset or a Skill Set?
A leader's role is to keep the best workers committed, the best customers loyal and the shareholders content. What are the qualities, behaviours and skills required of leaders today. What is the real purpose of leadership? This presentation will explore the leaders role in a challenging business environment, the need to create a vision and engage the workforce in the purpose of the company, and how through leadership you can release and focus the energy of your people.
Motivation and Retention of High Value Employees
These days, there is enormous competition for ‘talent’, which is often in short supply. Retaining good staff is therefore crucial, but often hard to achieve. The ability of a manager to be able to manage and build loyalty among high value employees cannot be underestimated. The Small Firms Association in Ireland conducted an exit poll at the end of 2005 and found that the primary cause of turnover was unhappiness with management. The second cause was that employees felt they did not get the recognition merited for their work. This presentation explores these critical issues and outlines vital strategies and some critical leadership skills to reduce employee turnover and increase motivation.
Gaining Workforce Commitment During Change
Up to 85% of all organisational change fails to add value - why is this? This session explores the relationship between leadership and workforce commitment during times of change. It will outline some of the key strategies that are needed in order to improve productivity by creating enhanced employee loyalty and commitment.
