Mindset was formed by Ruth Benson in 2002 to provide creative and focussed, consulting, coaching and development programmes in the field of cultural change and organisational behaviour. Mindset is a network of highly skilled professional consultants who are specialists in their areas. With this resource we are capable of delivering a wide range of interventions that will exactly suit your orgainisation's requirements.
Ruth Benson - Director of Mindset
Ruth Benson has 15 years experience as a training and development consultant, specialising in people and behavioural issues. For the last 7 years she has focused on the area of change management. She is a trained counsellor and has a wide knowledge of NLP, TA and other behavioural models. She has created and developed a variety of training programmes and is an experienced facilitator, executive coach and seminar speaker. Her work focuses on the facilitation and acceleration of individual and organisational change in order to help businesses align their culture with their strategic goals and objectives.

Jaqueline Harris
Jacqueline is an experienced training and management consultant and coach. She specialises in all aspects of sales and client service and uses high impact communication and relationship-building skills to work at all levels from senior management/board level to new recruit. She initially spent sixteen years in the banking industry and has spent the last nine years working as a consultant predominantly within the professional and financial services environment.
David Renton
David has been an associate of mindset for almost two years. He has worked extensively with clients who are transitioning into a different management position or a new leadership related role whereby they also benefit from David’s many years of direct experience of managing and leading employees through this transformation process. Previously, david worked in the investment banking industry for over 20 years, serving in a variety of senior management positions for bankers trust, barclays, hsbc, abn-amro and most recently as a divisional head in the daiwa-sumitomo banking group.
Nicola Haskins
Nicola has over 20 years’ experience in strategic management consultancy and asset management. Since 1992, she has provided leadership coaching and career development for senior executives. She also trains managers in coaching and mentoring skills. She is an accredited psychotherapist and an associate of the Centre for Creative Leadership in Brussels. She is currently completing a masters in Change Agent Skills and Strategies at the University of Surrey. She is fluent in French
Kaaren Brook
Kaaren’s early corporate career was in hotel management, where she made an enviable reputation for enabling change through people and rose to the world wide role of a Management Development Manager for a large international organisation. In addition to being qualified in Saville and Holdsworth psychometric assessments and trained in LAB profiling, Kaaren is a NLP Master Practitioner and certified NLP Coach. She is therefore very able to understand the ways in which people can enable or disable their potential and help them to define and achieve personal and corporate objectives that they might otherwise regard as unachievable.
Marissa Woods
Marissa has been a consultant with Mindset since 2005. With a background in Marketing strategies, face to face communications and International Events Management, Marissa has first hand experience of the brand management industry. Her personable and knowledgeable approaches are skills that have encouraged an enviable client base. With a BA in Hospitality Management specializing in Business Studies combined with Distinction in Arabic Cultural Studies and Language from Cambridge University, her grounding in building relationships is well founded.
Zue Newton
Zue began her career in education, followed by a period working in hospitality management where she gained client care, business development and communication skills. Since 1996, she has worked in training and development, delivering passionate and effective customer care products. Her interactive approach encourages high delegation participation and the right balance between learning and fun.
Anna Barez Brown
Before joining mindset as an associate in 2002, anna worked for over 10 years as a senior international marketer and sales director. Most of her experience is cross-cultural and she is fluent in italian, german and french. Her last job as sales director europe for lycos europe, a company owned by media giant bertelsmann, saw her managing 62 sales people in 12 european countries. She is an active member of the international coach federation (icf).
Jon Riley
Jon is an expert in the field of experiential learning and development. He has worked all over the world for the last 12 years with people from many differing cultures and backgrounds. He has a unique ability to connect and empathise with his clients to develop a learning environment that allows individuals to positively stretch and develop themselves.
Kay Foster
Kay spent 14 years with British Airways, leading large customer service departments, including 5,000 cabin crew, two call centres and a chain of ticket offices. Kay was part of the team that set up low-cost airline go. Since moving into consulting she has specialised in growing staff accountability and developing better leaders. Kay has an mba and lectures in business studies at oxford brookes university. She believes in lifelong learning.
